²⁵ The woman *said to Him, “I know that ^(A)Messiah is coming (^(B)He who is called ^[a]Christ); when He comes, He will declare all things to us.” ²⁶ Jesus *said to her, “^(C)I who speak to you am He.”

²⁷ And at this point His ^(D)disciples came, and they were marveling that He was speaking with a woman, yet no one said, “What do You seek?” or, “Why are You speaking with her?”
